Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels Training Tips on Dr. Oz

Have you ever been on diet and/or exercise program and began to feel discouraged?  The vast majority of us have felt this way at one time or another.  Today Dr. Oz invited “The Biggest Loser” trainers on to the show to share some tips and secrets that may help to inspire you to keep your focus on the goal whether it is to lose weight or just live a healthier lifestyle.  I have always found “The Biggest Loser” to be very motivational for me.  It’s hard to find an excuse not to exercise when these men and women (who are in worse shape than I) can train vigorously everyday while maintaining a strict eating schedule.  Today’s show was an incredible inspiration for those that need that extra nudge.. Here are some of the suggestions that Bob Harper, Jillian Michaels, and Dolvett Quince shared with Dr. Oz on today’s January 4, 2013 show.

Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper Exercise Tips on Dr Oz

Dr. Oz asked Bob Harper about any tips that he had to share with the viewers of the show.  Bob said that the contestants on The Biggest Loser train for more than 6 hours day.  However, they are on a reality show and he doesn’t suggest working out this vigorously at home when your not under properly trained supervision.

Bob Harper thinks that you should be challenging yourself in your exercise routine but he said to Dr. Oz that the contestants on his show are closely monitored.  Because viewers at home don’t have access to the same medical supervision he doesn’t recommend to exercise to lose weight like they do on the show at home. (I must admit, that I often wondered if any of the contestants had any serious health consequences from training this hard).  Bob said that the contestants must maintain a strict diet and the results that they have witnessed have been fantastic.

Jillian Michaels Training Tip

Jillian Michaels says that it is important that the contestants “buy in” and believe in the exercise program and what they are attempting to accomplish.  If you don’t  have belief, behind your  hope you aren’t going to make it.  You have to believe in yourself and the transformation that you want to take place in your life.  Bob Harper agreed that believing in yourself is key to being successful in losing weight and improving your health.
