Many men and women have to trouble losing weight after the age of 40. They begin to feel that it’s just a fact of life that after 40 you will just have to live with excess belly fat around your midsection. Dr. Oz said that this is a myth! Dr. Oz said that you can melt away belly fat after age 40 if you go about it the right way. He said that the food that eat is key when your trying to lose weight after 40. Certain foods help to melt fat cells and others can act to boost your metabolism so you burn extra calories all throughout the day.
Swiss Cheese Helps To Reduce Belly Fat
Dr. Oz said that surprisingly enough, swiss cheese helps to burn belly fat because the calcium that is in the cheese blocks fat from being stored, especially in the belly area. Dr. Oz said that you should try eating 1 ounce of Swiss cheese at every meal if you are 40 or older.
Eating Avocado’s Burn Fat
Avocados are rich in hearth health fats. For some people it’s hard to imagine that eating fat helps you to burn fat. Dr. Oz said that it’s a myth that eating high fat foods causes belly fat…… As long as you are eating the right kind of fats! Dr. Oz said that many of the “low fat” foods that you find in grocery stores are high in sugar. He said that the sugar turns on your fat cells and causes belly fat. He said that eating healthy fats will have the opposite effect and they will help you to burn belly fat.
Tip : Dr. Oz suggested eating 1/2 of an avocado and 1/2 cup of olives as a snack each day. He said that you can squeeze on some natural lemon juice for an extra fat burning effect.
Green Tea Blasts Fat
Dr. Oz said that people can do sit ups all day long and not blast belly fat. He said that this is a myth. You will get the benefit of building abdominal muscles but it will be underneath the fat. Dr. Oz suggesting drinking green tea. He said that green tea is effective because it contains chemicals that cause a metabolism boost. Dr. Oz suggested drinking two cups of green tea each day as an alternative to coffee. Steep the tea in warm water for 20 minutes before drinking.
