Can Toxins Make You Fat?
Dr. Chaudhary Chaudhary explained to Dr. Oz how toxins can make you gain weight as you get older. Dr. Chaudhary said that there are two types of toxins called water-soluble and lipid-soluble toxins. The lipid–soluble toxins are the ones that are problematic because they are harder to get rid of because they get stuck in your fat cells. If you are having trouble losing weight in certain areas of your body (hips, belly, thighs, etc…) it probably has something to do with lipid-soluble toxins. The good news is that you can burn the fat in those problem areas with the help of Ayurvedic medicine which contains ingredients that you can find in your local grocery store!
Ayurvedic Fat Fighting Tea Recipe
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp coriander seeds
- 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
Preparation directions : Add the ingredients noted above to a small pot and add 4 to 5 cups of small water and boil. Remove the seeds with a strainer and pour into a thermos. Why a thermos? Dr. Chaudhary said that you should drink it hot because the heat is what helps the tea burn fat from your problem areas.
Homemade Curry Powder recipe
According to Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary, most people don’t realize the fat burning powers that curry powder has. She suggests adding curry powder to your meals to help you burn fat easier. Here is the recipe that Dr. Chaudhary shared during today’s Dr. Oz show :
Homemade Curry Powder Ingredients :
- 5 tsps coriander seeds
- 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
- 1 large bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp black mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 stick of cinnamon
- 5 cloves
- 2 tsps of turmeric
Preparation directions : Mix all of the ingredients noted above in a coffee grinder and mix into a powder.
