Dr Oz Baking Soda Remedies For Acne, Whiter Teeth and Oily Hair

Dr. Oz invited the beauty director of Women’s Health (Molly Nover-Baker) on to the show to share baking soda remedies for acne, whiter teeth, and oily hair.  Milly Nover-Baker said that women spend much more money on beauty products than they need to.  Here are three baking soda remedies that can help to make you more beautiful while saving you money at the same time.

Baking Soda Dry Shampoo For Oily Hair

Oily hair is a problem for many men and women.  You can use baking soda as a dry shampoo to remedy this problem without even getting your hair wet.  All you need to do is sprinkle some baking soda on your hair along the part.  Then tousle it with your fingers throughout your hair.  Then fluff your hair with a hair dryer.

Add Volume To Your Hair With Baking Soda

Mix your favorite shampoo with a quarter size amount of baking soda to reduce oil, residue, and dirt…  You will notice that your hair will be lighter with more volume.Baking Soda Mask For AcneAcne medications can be costly.  Baking soda could be the low cost remedy that you have been looking for.  The mask will absorb excess oil and help to reduce your acne.  Here is the baking soda acne fighting mask recipe that was shared on today’s show :

  • Mix 1 1/2 tbsp of honey with 1 tbsp of baking soda.
  • Apply the paste mixture to your face and leave on for 10-15 minutes.  If the mixture is too thick you can apply a small amount of water but be careful not to add too much.
  • Don’t use this acne mask remedy more than once per week.

Whiten Your Teeth With This Homemade Baking Soda Whitening Remedy

Whitening strips and other whitening symptoms can be very expensive.  Making your own baking soda toothpaste whitener is cheap and effective.  Here is how you make a baking soda whitening toothpaste :

  • Mix 3 parts baking soda to 1 part lemon juice and 1 part smashed strawberries.  This ingredient combo will remove stains and plaque.  You can store the whitening toothpaste in a sealed container and use it two times per day.
