Dr. Oz always loves to talk about fiber and how it is essential in slowing down how quickly food is digested in your body. One of his favorite types of fiber to recommend is Konjac Root Fiber. Konjac Root Fiber can be bought in a powder or pill form. He also gave another option of eating fiber crackers. Take your fiber source is about 15 minutes before your dinner meal. Konjac Root Fiber expands dramatically when it is mixed with water so make sure that you drink a full glass of water along with your fiber supplement. Dr. Oz said that if you take fiber 15 minutes before a meal you will consume on average 70 less calories per meal. Over a years time can help you lose 7 pounds a year! That is without any added exercise at all! Not to mention the many health benefits that fiber has to offer.

Is there a good time to cheat on your diet? Well, if your going to over indulge Dr. Oz said that the best time to cheat on your diet is 2 p.m. It is at around 2 p.m. when most people start lacking energy and need an energy boost. Dr Oz suggested snacking on one ounce of a chocolate bar or drinking a glass of chocolate milk. Hot chocolate would also be a delicious idea with the colder months coming up! He closed by saying that if you snack the right way you shouldn’t feel guilty about indulging once in awhile. So, if you are going to cheat on your diet make sure that it is about 2:00 P.M. in the afternoon. I think Dr. Oz made this time frame based on a typical person’s 9-5 type of work schedule.
