If you love The Biggest Loser, then you would have enjoyed today’s Dr. Oz show.  He interviewed Jillian Michaels about her return to the show and her life away from the reality show.  He also talked to Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels about their exercise tips for contestants on the show as well as viewers at home.  During this segment of today’s show Dr. Oz talks with Dolvett Quince, Bob Harper, and Jillian Michaels about fiber, calories, and cheat foods to help assist you achieve your weight loss goals in 2013.

What Does Bob Harper Have To Say About Fiber and Drinking Your Calories?

Jillian Michaels, Bob Harper, and Dolvett Quince talk about calories, fiber, and cheat foods on Dr. Oz.

Bob Harper says that most of us are fiber deficient and regardless of how much weight we may need to lose we should be making sure that we are getting plenty of fiber from healthy sources like raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries.  Bob Harper also said that you shouldn’t be drinking your calories.  He says that it drives him crazy when he sees people drinking high calorie coffee drinks.  You can waste your exercise workout if you drink all the calories immediately afterwards!

Dolvett Quince’s Tips To Lose Weight

Dr. Oz asked Dolvett Quince about his secrets to losing weight.  Quince said that he eats as many veggies as possible throughout the day..  He also limits the amounts of carbohydrates he eats to healthy carb sources (like sweet potatoes).  He eats lean protein and never eats anything that is white (processed breads and such).

Count Your Calories!

Jillian Michaels says that you should be counting your calories.  She said that weight loss is about math so you need to know how many calories you are taking in throughout the day.  She said that women should be sure to NOT go below 1,200 calories per day.  Men should have approximately 1,600 calories per day.

Cheat Foods

Even Jillian, Dolvett, and Bob aren’t prone to a “cheat food” now and again.  Here are some of their favorite foods the like to eat when they splurge.

Jillian Michaels – Alcohol!  She says since she spends so much time with Bob (so Bob drives Jillian to drink? lol) she occasionally has wine or tequilla.  She advised to limit your intake of alcohol however because it isnt’ good for weight loss.

Dolvett Quince –  Dolvett has a weakness for sweets.  When he indulges his sweet tooth he likes strawberry shortcake and carrot cake.

Bob Harper – It didn’t take Bob long to answer this question from Dr. Oz.  His weakness is chips and dip.
