Coffee Lovers Diet

Should you drink coffee or not drink coffee?  That’s a question that many people ask because they aren’t sure if coffee is good or bad for their health.  The great news is that a cup of coffee may provide more antioxidant value than blueberries!  However, some coffee is healthier than others.

Coffee Diet Tips

Many people choose to get their coffee from a specialty store that often overload their coffee drinks with too many calories.  Here are some tips to help make your coffee healthier.

Sprinkle Flavor Instead of Syrup – Just one pump of flavored syrup contains as much as 5 grams of sugar.  Many of the drinks on the menu have as much as 5 pumps of syrup!  Ask to have them sprinkle cocoa powder or cinnamon (or both) instead.

Order The “Secret Size” Menu Usually Not Listed

Most coffee shops offer a 4th size coffee that isn’t on the menu.  It is smaller than the smallest cup that they try to sell you.  Speak up and ask for a smaller size.

Ask For The Foam – A foamy cup of coffee makes you feel like your indulging in a special treat, plus it doesn’t add a lot of extra calories to your coffee.

Choose The Americano – Lattes are delicious.. That can’t be denied, but they are also loaded with calories.  Ask for an “Americano”  Those types of coffee drinks are made from two shots of espresso and hot water.. You get a double dose of caffeine but without all the extra calories.  This coffee diet drink will add some pep to your step but isn’t loaded up with calories.
