Dr. Oz Invites Daughter Daphne On To The Show To Share Her Chocolate Fudge Pop & Chili Jam Chicken Recipe

Dr. Oz invited his lovely daughter Daphne Oz on to the show to talk about her book “Relish” as well as square off in father daughter challenge featuring their favorite home remedies.  During this segment on today’s episode Daphne Oz shared her two of her favorite recipes from her book.  Listed below are ingredients and directions to make her delicious (yet healthy) Chocolate Fudge Pops and Chili Jam Chicken recipes.

Daphne Oz Chocolate Fudge Pops Recipe

Ingredients to make six fudge pops that only contain 125 calories each! :

  • 13 oz can of original coconut milk
  • 5 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp raw honey
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Preparation directions :

    Mix all of the ingredients noted above until blended thoroughly.  Divide the mixture into six ice pop molds and freeze the popsicle’s.  Delicious and healthy chocolate ice pops that your whole family can enjoy!

Daphne Oz’s Chili Jam Chicken Recipe On Dr. Oz

Ingredients (for 2 servings) :

  • 4 chicken thighs (with the skin removed)
  • 4 tbsp chili jam
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Sea salt
  • Freshly cracked black pepper

Preparation directions :

    • Season both sides of the chicken thighs (with the bone in) with salt and pepper. Iin a large skillet heat oil over meadium high heat.
    • Place chicken thighs in skillet.  Cook the chicken on one side for 10 minutes and flip over to cook the other side for another six to ten minutes.  Make sure that the chicken is done by inserting a knife in the chicken thigh. Press down until you hit the bone.  The juice that comes out should be clear rather than pink or red.
    • Reduce the temperature on the stove to medium low and spread chile jam over each chicken thigh. Cook additional 1 to 2 minutes.
    • Remove the chicken thighs from the skillet to a serving plate
    • Spoon the glaze over each thigh
    • Squeeze lemon juice (freshly squeezed) over chicken
