Dr. Oz Talks With Bryce Wylde About The Dopamine Diet and Foods To Curb Your Cravings Naturally

Today’s (May 13) Dr. Oz show promises to be a fan favorite and possibly a diet that will revolutionize the way you think about weight loss. Dr. Oz & Bryce Wylde talk about why you don’t have to fight cravings all throughout the day to maintain your diet. There is sound science behind why we get food cravings and much of the source lies within the chemicals created within our brains.

There are healthy (and plenty of not so healthy) foods that increase the dopamine levels in our brain which have a big impact on the cravings that we experience while on a diet. When you deprive yourself of certain foods your brain will respond with nearly uncontrollable cravings which make in nearly impossible to stay on your diet. Dr. Oz invited Bryce Wylde on to the show to talk about the healthy foods high in tyrosine to suppress your cravings in a natural way!

Learn How To Recognize Symptoms To Know If Your Dopamine Level Is Low

When you know the reasoning behind your food cravings you will have the knowledge to put your cravings at ease without resorting to snacking on the unhealthy foods that you will likely be craving. However, when you overeat your dopamine levels can plummet causing your body to be insensitive to dopamine. This can be compared to someone who is addicted to drugs that needs more of the drug to get that same “high”.

The good news is that Dr. Wylde has said that if your body is insensitive to dopamine you can reactive the receptors in your brain. He explains to Dr. Oz that when you resist the temptations to overeat on the wrong foods you will cause your brain to reactivate your brain receptors and you will be more sensitive to dopamine. This will greatly reduce the cravings that you are feeling. When your dopamine levels are high you will receive that same “high” from lesser amounts of food.

Foods To Increase Dopamine Levels

When you follow the dopamine diet you will not only be eating healthy, you will be changing the way your brain sends out signals for food cravings. When you have higher dopamine levels your cravings will decrease. Dr. Oz & Bryce Wylde will be talking about many foods that you should be eating while on the dopamine diet to reduce your cravings. Here is a list of foods to boost your dopamine :

  • Low fat cottage cheese
  • Ricotta
  • Duck
  • Chicken
  • Walnuts
