Dr. Oz Exhaustion Salvia Test To Take At Home & Symptoms For Yeast Overgrowth

Today Dr. Oz talked about a common problem that affects millions of people all across the country. Exhaustion. For many people they feel exhausted the minute they get out of bed and they can’t seem to muster up the energy required to go about your daily tasks. Dr. Oz talks about an “Exhaustion Saliva Test” to see if yeast overgrowth may be causing your exhaustion.

Dr. Oz invited Dr. Elizabeth Boham on to the show to talk about what causes exhaustion. Elizabeth explained to Dr. Oz that it could be yeast overgrowth that is causing your exhaustion. If you are not sure if you have a yeast overgrowth problem there is a simple at home test that you can take that can signal you if have too much yeast in your body.

The “Exhaustion Saliva Test” is very simple to do. Here are the simple steps you need to take to do the test :

  • Fill a glass with about 8 ounces of water within 30 minutes of waking up.
  • Spit your saliva into the glass of water
  • Allow it to sit for 15 minutes

Dr. Elizabeth Boham said that your saliva should sit on the surface of the water.  However, if your “spit” goes down to the bottom or begins to “spider” down to the bottom to the bottom of the glass it could be a sign that yeast overgrowth may be a problem for you and what is causing your exhaustion.

Why Does Yeast Overgrowth Cause Exhaustion

Dr. Oz brought up the topic of why yeast causes exhaustion.  Dr. Bohom explained that we all have yeast in our body and that it is quite normal.  However, some people have too much yeast in the body and this can make you feel exhausted.  She siad that too much yeast causes inflammation within the body.  She also said that some people are allergic to yeast and may not even know it.

Causes Of Yeast Overgrowth

Dr. Boham explained to Dr. Oz that antibiotics and poor diet are the main causes of yeast overgrowth in the body.  She said that when people take antibiotics it not only kills the bad bacteria if you have an infection, it also kills the good bacteria.  This can provide an environment for yeast to grow and thrive.

Poor diet is also another big factor that can cause yeast overgrown.  Diets that are high in sugar, carbohydrates, pop, and alcohol are big contributors. Yeast Overgrowth SymptomsDr. Oz explained that you have to be able to know what signs to be on the look out for to know if yeast is a problem for you.  Here are the signs & symptoms to look out for that may indicate if it is excessive yeast that may be causing your exhaustion.
