Dr. Oz Talks About Food Sensitivity Quiz and an Elimination Diet For Better Health
Today (February 4, 2014) Dr. Oz talked about food sensitivities that could be affecting you without you even realizing it. Do you suffer from body aches, stomach pain, weight gain or inability to lose weight? If so, you have plenty of company. Today Dr. Oz shared a “Food Sensitivity Quiz” for viewers to take to see if they may be sensitive towards certain foods. Dr. Oz also talks about an elimination diet to help diagnose food sensitivities so you can remove them from your diet so you will feel be better and be much healthier.
Food Sensitivity Symptoms
Most people who experience food sensitivity symptoms don’t realize that it’s the food that they have been eating that has led to unpleasant symptoms. Here are symptoms that were given on the show :

- Joint pain
- Brain fog
- Weight gain
- Skin rashes

Some foods cause inflammation in the body and this can lead to mood swings. Here are the psychological signs and symptoms that you should be aware of :

- Is there a type of food that you don’t think that you could live without?
- Do you eat certain foods to help calm yourself down?
If you answered yes to at least 3 of the questions above, food sensitivities could be affecting your mood.
Nora Gedgaudas suggested that people use the “elimination diet” to diagnose which foods that you may be sensitive to. She recommended removing a food for two weeks from your diet to see how you react. She suggested keeping a journal as you remove foods from your diet for the two week period so you can compare and analyze how your body reacts.
