Lisa explained her plan to Dr. Oz and the viewers about how important breakfast is for weight loss.  She said that you should start each morning with a breakfast that is high in protein.  She said that “easy” breakfast meals like muffins are full of empty calories.  It won’t be long until you are feeling hungry again and eating more.  Lisa’s 300 calorie breakfast ideas will keep you feeling satisfied and full of energy all throughout the morning.  Here are the 300 calorie breakfast ideas that were shared on today’s show :

Mega Fruit and Yogurt Bowl : Chop up an apple and mix it with some Greek yogurt and some high fiber cereal.

Growing Oatmeal Bowl : Add 1/2 cup of instant oats to twice the amount of liquid that you normally use.  Lisa mixes water and milk with hers.  Cook the oatmeal for twice as long.  Add in some egg whites, nuts and fresh berries.  This is a very filling breakfast but is still healthy and less than 300 calories!

Egg Scramble and Bun : Slice some tomatoes and cook up some egg whites.  Add them to a flatbreat that is high in fiber.  Top with fresh berries.

Lunch and Dinner High Protein Meals That Contain Only Around 350 Calories

Lisa said that you shouldn’t be hungry if you are trying to lose weight.  For lunch and dinner eat high protein meals but bulk them up with veggies that are high in fiber.

Extra Lean Crunchy Beef Tacos – Be sure to use extra lean 4 percent ground beef.  Add bulk to the tacos with mushrooms.  Have a side salad with salsa for a filling and satisfying lunch or dinner.

Faux Fried Chicken strips recipe – These taste like they have been fried but they haven’s.  Lisa Lillien’s trick is to coat the chicken with a high fiber breakfast cereal.  Bake the chicken strips in the oven instead of frying them.  Add a dipping sauce and side salad for a sensible yet filling meal.

Chicken Parm with Saucy Pasta : Lisa’s secret to this recipe is to exchange out the pasta and add steamed broccoli slaw.  You can find broccoli slaw in most produce sections.

Pizza Bella : Use a portobello mushroom as your “pizza crust” so to speak..  Add crushed tomatoes and string cheese (light) to your portobello base.  Bake in the oven and enjoy this satisfying snack that has less than 100 calories.

Chocolate Chip Stuffed Strawberries : Get some large strawberrries from your grocery store.  Stuff them with ricotta cheese, a vanilla extract and a no calorie sweetener.  Sprinkle some mini semi-sweet chocolate chips on top.  This will satisfy your sweet tooth cravings without too much harm being done.
