Dr. Oz Talks About Inexpensive Ways To Help Fight Cellulite : Indian Ginseng Creams (Ashwagandha), Retinol, and Cellulite Massagers

Cellulite affects 9 out of 10 women and often makes women feel insecure to wear swimsuits, bathing suits, etc.  Dr. Oz invited on a woman to share her problems and complaints about cellulite and he offered some cheap remedies to reduce the appearance of cellulite.  Here are the remedies that Dr. Oz talked about on today’s (August 5, 2013) show.

Indian Ginseng (AKA Ashwagandha) Cellulite Creams

Most people have heard of ginseng but Dr. Oz was referring to a different kind of ginseng.  He said that Indian Ginseng is now being used in creams to help fight cellulite.  Indian Ginseng is also referred to as Ashwagandha (the term actually means “horse smell”).  Creams with Indian Ginseng help to protect collagen loss and protect damage to your skins architecture.  There is a phytochemical in Indian Ginseng that helps to protect collagen.  Dr. Oz said to apply the cream 1 to 2 times per day and you should give yourself a month before you can expect to see any results.

Retinol Creams

Dr. Oz said that retinol creams are effective on reducing wrinkles in your face but they are also effective at treating your legs and thighs!  Retinol helps to thicken your skin and improve the collagen cables (Dr. Oz referred to it as your skins architecture).  Dr. Oz performed a demonstration to show how retinols can help to strengthen the collagen cables that push back fat in your skin.  When you improve your collagen, it will push back the cellulite and your skin will be smoother.   The retinol cream will also make your skin thicker which will reduce the appearance of cellulite even further!  You should look for creams that have .4 percent retinols and apply it 1 to 3 times per day.

Cellulite Massager

Dr. Oz said that regardless of what you do, your cellulite isn’t going to just go away.  However, you can cosmetically alter it’s appearance.  This is where cellulite massager’s can benefit you.  Dr. Oz demonstrated a do it yourself cellulite massage device with soft rubber tips.  You simply rub the cellulite massager on to your problem areas.  The massager rubs the fat beneath the skin and it softens the bands of connective tissue and stimulates circulation. Dr. Oz recommended adding some oregano oil to your skin when you do the massage.  Oil of oregano will help the massager move across your skin easier and oregano oil also helps to reduce reduce inflammation which will improve your skins appearance even further.
