On June 21, 2013 Dr. Oz will be clearing up all the confusion about which supplements that you should take, what anti-aging creams really work, the 4 key factors for longevity, and grocery tips like which foods that you should buy during the upcoming fall season.

Key Supplements You should Take – Omega 3’s, Calcium-Magnesium,

Dr. Oz spoke with a woman who is a huge fan and follows all of his advice that he gives on his shows.  However, she has become overwhelmed from all the supplements he has spoke about and she doesn’t remember what half of them even do.  To help clear up the confusion Dr. Oz recommend the key supplements an otherwise healthy person should be taking.  Here are the supplements that he talked about on the June 21, 2013 program :

  • Low dose multivitamin
  • Omega 3 fats (600 mg DHA)
  • 600 milligrams of calcium
  • 400 milligrams of magnesium

Dr. Oz also gave the suggestion that you speak with your pharmacist about what supplements that are taking to be sure that there aren’t any interactions to any medications you may be taking.

Anti-Aging Creams Really Work

Dr. Oz spoke to a woman named Carlita who said that she has tried just about every type of anti-aging cream imaginable.  She has tried Vitamin a, cocoa butter, retinol, and various other eye creams.  Dr. Oz said that you should look for an anti-aging product that contains the ingredient “Retinol”Retinol is a type of Vitamin A that has anti-aging benefits that really work.  He said that retinol cream help to stimulate younger skin cells to grow fast.  Retinol also stimulates collagen production underneath the skin which can help to reduce wrinkles and sagging of the skin.

Four Factors Of Longevity

Dr. Oz said that there are 4 main factors that play a big role in determining your longevity.  He said that these 4 factors are the main culprit in over half of the illnesses and deaths that occur each and every year.  The four factors to longevity are :

    • Don’t smoke
    • Maintain a healthy weight
    • Eat a high fiber diet
    • Exercise

Healthy Fall Foods To Buy

Whenever fall arrives there will be several healthy foods that you should be on the look out for.  The four fall healthy foods that Dr. Oz mentions were :

    • Portabello mushrooms – Contains ample amounts of selenium which is an antioxidant that helps to maintain the health of your immune system.
    • Fennel – Aids digestion
    • Winter squash – Dr. Oz said to stock up on winter squash during the fall season.  He said that it’s believed to be helpful in fighting certain cancers and reduces your risk for macular degeneration.
