Would You Like To Lose 10 Pounds in 20 Days? Anti-Diet Plan Featured on January 7, 2013 Dr Oz Show
Weight loss plans have been featured on Dr. Oz on many occasions. However, today he talked about an “Anti-Diet” plan that not only helps you lose weight, but lose it fast! Today’s January 7, 2013 “Anti-Diet” plan is not your ordinary twist on the traditional “low carb” or “low fat” diet plans that people often reinvent over and over again. Dr. Oz invited Lyn-Genet Recitas on to the show to share an unorthodox approach that may just intrigue you. This plan doesn’t even require you to exercise and you don’t have to count carbs, fat grams, or calories!
“Devil Foods” That Could Be Keeping You From Your Weight Loss Goals
You are likely to have conditioned yourself to believe that beans, almonds, and greek yogurt is good for you and will help you lose weight. This may certainly be true for some people. However, Lyn-Genet Recitas (author of The Plan) says that these foods (amongst many others) are “Devil Foods” for certain people. Peoples body chemistry reacts differently so you can’t just safeguard a particular food and declare them as “diet foods”. Lyn-Genet says that you have to figure out which foods are YOUR body’s Devil Foods.
Potato Chips Are Better For You Than Bananas?
It seems like an easy answer to a simple question.. Of course bananas are better for you than potato chips…..right? Lyn-Genet Recitas says that it is more important to figure out how your body reacts to certain foods. You need to target your devil foods and find out which ones are prohibiting you from losing weight. For some people bananas can be a “Devil Food” because they are high in starch and sugar. In their case they may want to consider eating potato chips because they are equally as high in potassium. For others hot rice cereal may be a better option than oatmeal. She then went on to tell Dr. Oz that one of her clients gains weight by eating just a small amount of almonds! Targeting your devil foods are important in finding the best way to lose weight so you can lose 10 lbs in 20 days too!
Your Body Needs Bacteria
Did you know that there is more bacteria in your intestines than there are cells in your body? Bacteria can affect how your body chemistry reacts to certain foods. If we don’t have healthy bacteria in our intestines our bodies can react with inflammation, bloating, and we weight gain when we eat certain foods. Probiotics can help you regain and maintain a healthy intestinal flora.
Is the Anti-Diet Plan Right For You?
Lyn-Genet Recitas, who is a licensed dietician, says that anyone over the age of 35 should be on her anti-diet plan. As you get older your body responds to certain foods in different ways. Some foods will cause more inflammation in your body. This means that certain foods that you could get away with eating in your 20’s could give you problems in your 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and beyond.
How To Lose 10 LBS in 20 Days
Lyn-Genet Recita’s weight loss plan comes in two phases. First you should complete the 3 Day Anti-Diet Cleanse (which should help you lose 5 pounds in 3 days). Eating foods that give a low inflammatory response will get you headed in the right direction quickly. After you have completed the diet cleanse you should slowly add foods that you enjoy to eat. In her plan you don’t have to follow a strict diet. You eat the foods that you enjoy just as long as they aren’t one of your “devil foods”. You need to figure out which foods your body reacts to and adjust your diet accordingly.
Wine, Chocolate, and Cheese, Oh My!!
After you go through the three day cleanse you can add wine, chocolate, and cheese back into your diet plan. She said that most of her clients are always very happy to hear this! After that you can add back your favorite foods but you have to monitor your bodies reaction towards those foods. Adding foods back one at a time will help you determine which foods your body chemistry doesn’t react well for.
Lyn-Genet Recitas said that many of her clients have experienced wonderful success and many have lost 10 pounds in just 20 days. She said if you follow her program and really monitor how your body chemistry is reacting towards certain foods will go along way towards allowing you what you want to eat and still lose weight at the same time!
