Pea Protein Powder Cuts Food Cravings
Dr. Oz spoke with three women who all admitted they are addicted to carbohydrate rich foods. He challenged them to try Pea Protein Powder to see if this truly was effective at warding off their carb cravings. All three of the participants were amazed and how effective pea protein powder is at controlling their cravings! One of the ladies said that she didn’t have any compulsion to snatch some of her kids french fries off of their plate!
Dr. Oz performed a demonstration to help viewers understand what is happening in our bodies when we have food cravings. Many times we we are hungry we reach for carbohydrate rich foods because they offer a quick fix for the hunger cravings. The problem is, the cravings don’t stay away for long. Very soon the cravings will come back and you will be snacking on those same type of carbohydrate rich foods again. When all is said and done, we will have consumed far too many calories just from trying to satisfy our hunger cravings.
Pea Protein Powder does wonders for food cravings because it is very high in protein and it takes a long time to digest. It also triggers a hormone in our body that sends out signals that we are full. This makes your cravings go away because your body thinks that it is full. If you always seem to cave in to food cravings (which leads to weight gain) then pea protein powder may be the answer you have been looking for to help you lose weight.
The three participants who tested out the pea protein were able to eat 300 less calories a day on average by adding pea protein powder to their diets. Dr. Oz said that even if you only cut 200 calories a day it will make all the difference in the world if you have been having trouble losing weight.
