Do you tend to gain weight around your belly or midsection?  This can be the hardest kind of fat to rid you body from.  Today (January 30) Dr. Oz and Dr. William Davis talk about the Wheat Belly Diet and how you can finally lose the fat that you just can’t seem to get rid of.  They talk about why you should eat LESS wheat to lose more weight.  Not only will it help you lose weight, it will also help to improve your skin, reduce arthritis pain, acid reflux, improve focus, and more!

There are many people in mainstream western medicine who believe that Dr. William Davis is controversial for some of his philosophies on weight gain.  Dr. Davis believes that it isn’t fat or sugar that is causing your to gain weight (and fat).  He believes that (modern day) wheat is what is causing belly fat in so many people throughout the country.  Dr. Oz said that the wheat of today is very different than the wheat from what was produced in the 50’s.  Dr. William Davis calls the wheat that is produced today as “Frankenwheat”.  Dr. Oz and Dr. Davis understand that many people will have difficulty removing wheat from your diet so they shared tips on how you can reduce wheat consumption to improve your overall health and lose weight.

Dr. William Davis (author of The Wheat Belly 30-Minute or Less Cookbook) believes that we all should be reducing (or eliminating) gluten in our diet because of the intestinal problems that they often create in people.  Gluten has been linked to autoimmune diseases like Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and more. Be sure to view the followup segment when Dr. Oz and Dr. Davis share wheat free, no gluten muffin and chicken wrap recipes and alternative wheat free ingredient tips.
