Dr. Oz Talks About Your Immune System and How To Strengthen Your Immunity By Sleeping

- Are you getting enough sleep at night? Dr. Susan Blum said that the best thing you can do to strengthen your immunity is to make sure that you are getting a sufficient amount of sleep.
- Are you still tired after you wake up? Dr. Blum said that this could be because your adrenal glands are not working properly.
- Have you taken antacids (or other heartburn meds) for more than 30 days at a time? Antacids can harm the healthy flora in your stomach. A healthy stomach flora is important for a healthy immune stem.
- When you wake up in the morning do you find that the rings on your fingers are tighter than when you went to bed? Dr. Blum explained to Dr. Oz that if your fingers swell during the night it could because toxins have built in your body. He said that your body retains water to dilute the toxins. This isn’t good for your immune system.

Dr. Blum says that we all should be getting enough sleep at night because how much sleep you get has a direct affect on your adrenal glands. If you aren’t getting enough sleep you could be harming your adrenal glands as well as your immune system. Improve your adrenal function by regularly getting a good night of sleep.
