Lower Your Risk For Heart Disease By Eating Tomato Paste

Dr. Oz said that it’s never too late to start his life extension plan.  He said that you can notice positive benefits in just 6 weeks by replacing bad habits with healthy ones.  Adding 4 tablespoons of tomato paste per day can help prevent or reduce your risk for heart disease with the added benefit of lowering your cholesterol.

Calcium Rich Foods Like Spinach Improve Kidney Function

It is a commonly held myth that calcium causes kidney stones, when in fact calcium will actually improve your kidney function.  Dr. Oz said that eating calcium rich foods like kale and/or spinach helps to strengthen your bones and to improve the health of your kidneys.

  • Recommended dosage of calcium – 1,200 MG of calcium a day by eating green leafy veggies.  Spinach and kale are great sources of calcium that will improve your kidney health.

Pomegranate Seeds Can Reduce Your Risk of Lung Cancer

Lung function declines as we age.  However, there are foods that you can eat that will improve the health of your lungs and reduce your risk for lung cancer.   Dr. Oz recommends eating one cup of pomegranate seeds each day.
